Grace's Place began with a single aim - to make a few bags of candy to sell at our church's annual food and cultural fair. After researching the process, our founder successfully produced freezed dried candy that had many asking "Can I get more?"
Grace's Place makes many varieties of freezed dried candy. Through never-ending trial and error, we determine which ones meet the quality we expect. Only the best get the Grace's Place sticker on the bag!

We are often asked this question at events "What is freeze dried candy?" and "How do you make it?"
Transforming the Texture and Flavor of Candy
At Grace's Place, we specialize in creating freeze-dried versions of your favorite candies, as well as homemade candy, transforming them into crunchy delights. But what exactly is the freeze-drying process, and how does it change the texture and flavor of candy?
What is Freeze Drying?
Freeze drying, also known as lyophilization, is a method of preserving food by removing its moisture content. Unlike traditional drying methods, which involve heat, freeze drying uses extremely low temperatures and a vacuum to achieve its results.
There are three main stages in the freeze-drying process for candy.
Stage 1
The vacuum chamber is cooled to a very low temperature before the candy is placed in the freeze dryer.
Stage 2
The candy is placed in a vacuum chamber. The pressure is lowered, allowing the ice to sublimate, or transition directly from a solid to a gas, bypassing the liquid phase.
Stage 3
In this final step, any remaining moisture is removed from the candy at slightly higher temperatures, ensuring that it's completely dry.
Freeze drying transforms the texture of candy from chewy to crunchy, as well as enhancing and intensifying the flavor.

Refund policy
At Grace's Place Freeze Dried Candy, we take pride in the quality of our freeze-dried candy and want our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchase.
You can request a refund any time within 10 days of your receipt of the non-food item(s) that you have purchased.
To be eligible for a refund or exchange, your items must be sealed, in their original packaging, and in the same condition that you received them.
Important:
We do our best to securely package each item. However, contents may settle or break in transit due to fragility of freeze-dried candy. This is unfortunately out of our control so there will be no refunds or replacements regarding settling and breakage.
Freeze Dried Candy is not returnable, if you receive an item in error please contact us, we will make it right!
If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method used to make the purchase. Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable, and you will be responsible for any return shipping fees.
